Inês Caldeira

Born in 1995, in Setúbal where she also completed high school.

She studied at the Lisbon Faculty of Fine Arts where she obtained her degree in Multimedia Art in 2019.  She has worked on individual illustration and Animation projects, and has collaborated on several compelling freelance projects in the field of Character and Setting Design.

During her degree course, she participated – together with the Humanities Faculty – in an animation  project about Os Degraus de Parnaso/The Steps of Parnassus by  Manuel António dos Santos Lourenço, in which the aim was to refresh and recreate the writer’s creative process.

She collaborated on the 2019 edition of the Algarve Design Meeting in the video mapping category, with the result of the work done by the group being  projected onto/in  Faro Cathedral/ Igreja da Sé.

In the summer of 2019, she was invited to take part as an assistant in the initiative Verão na ULisboa/Summer at ULisbon. She provided the students enrolled in the initiative with a game she had invented as part of her final project for one of her Multimedia Art degree modules – Meowdemoiselle – and helped develop a new system for implementing it.

She is currently collaborating on the short “O Ciclo/The Cycle” directed by  Zepe, working as assistant  artist on layout and animatic editing, and on the pilot episode for the series  “Ciência de Algibeira/Pocket Science”, collaborating on character creation.
